Al
Agnew |
A native of the Missouri Ozarks, Al Agnew is an avid outdoorsman whose experiences in the field furnish the material for his paintings. He has been widely acclaimed for his breathtaking renditions of fur bearing mammals, birds of prey and fish. His work has appeared on 11 state hunting and fishing stamps and in numerous publications including Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, Wildlife Art News and US Art. Agnew states his career philosophy in direct terms: An artist who specializes in wildlife should strive not only to produce work that is original and aesthetically pleasing but that also heightens the viewers appreciation of wildlife in its natural habitat. |
