Once discovering the watercolor medium, I searched for a subject that would keep me focused. I found myself painting birds more often than any other subject and realized that my love of birds was very strong. Birds are now my primary subject, particularly birds of Northern California where I live. Bird watching is very rewarding for me and by painting birds I learn about them more intimately. I enjoy sharing my artwork and knowledge of birds with others and hope that this will start them thinking about what each of us can do to preserve our bird habitats. |
